Women in Business NI have appointed Michelle Lestas as an Ambassador to the Network.
Who are Women in Business NI:
Women in Business NI is the largest and fastest growing business network for female entrepreneurs and business leaders in Northern Ireland. The mission of the network is simple but powerful:
“To equip women with the skills they need to start, and grow, their own business or develop their careers, rising into senior manager and leadership positions. Women in Business Ambassadors are inspirational women who have scaled the heights in their own field and now give back supporting to those who follow behind. They understand the need for networks like Women in Business! Which is why we are delighted to welcome a new Ambassador to the network – Michelle Lestas, Author.
It is such an honour to have Michelle on board the team. Michelle is a serial entrepreneur with business ownership in her DNA. After growing up in a family business and undertaking an MBA, Michelle embarked on her business ownership in property, food & business consultancy services. With over 20 years experience as a business turnaround specialist, Michelle is a Non-Executive Director, and Entrepreneur in Residence with Catalyst Inc. She is also a Director of The Good Food and Wine Northern Ireland Hamper Company.
In January 2021, her business leadership book “In Business With Yourself” was published with unfiltered insight into some of the highs & lows of leading in business and enables small business owners to be better equipped to deal with challenge & success.
An experienced public speaker, Michelle has spoken to business audiences across Europe specialising in leadership, business ownership and entrepreneurship. Michelle runs the business podcast #InBizTogether and is currently presenting a regular business feature with Belfast89FM radio!
On the appointment Michelle said “It is a real honour to have been asked to undertake this role and I hope I can make a really positive contribution to the development of women in business, here in NI.”
